IEC 61131-3 Training
Do you want to learn more about the worldwide PLC standard IEC 61131-3 and the advantages of each language of the IEC 61131-3 standard?
The IEC 1131-3 standard is currently being implemented by PLC manufacturers worldwide. This course is intended for PLC programmers, designers, or anyone involved in selling or purchasing automation equipment. This course is independent of the PLC manufacturer and is not intended to teach PLC programming, but how to implement and take advantage of the power of the 61131-3 standard. Key topics include:
- The IEC 1131-3 standards
- When it is best to apply a particular language: Ladder Logic, Instruction List, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, Sequential Function Block
- Application examples that demonstrate the power of each language
- Implementation of PLC memory addressing
- Future plans for the IEC 61131-3 standard
The course is eight hours in length and includes a question and answer period. The course manual provides all the examples and decision trees to help select the best language that should be used based upon the application or situation.
