100% MS SQL Server historian
CitectSCADA Reports utilizes 100% MicrosoftSQL Server 2005 as its embedded historical data store. Not only does this industry standard bridge the gap between plant and business systems through a common server which is well-known and trusted amongst IT professionals, but its open, industry-standard technology and trusted security integrates effortlessly into your business and with MS Office in a way that lowers your total cost of ownership. The simple roll-out of familiar MS SQL technology results in reduced installation costs and little or no training time and cost.
CitectSCADA Reports is born of the most reliable software in the automation industry, combining the redundant SCADA connectors and automatic backfilling with the inherent high MS SQL server security, to ensure your data is safe from loss or downtime occurrences.
CitectSCADA Reports uses the open OPC standard to ensure a common interface between control systems and is capable of accurately recording 100,000 changes per second. While some historians compress the large volumes of data by saving the 'line of best fit' or trend line through data, the CitectSCADA Reports system avoids the possibility of clouding the data (by approximating data points) by 'saving data on change' rather than compressing it.
