ReactiVar Medium Voltage Fixed Power Factor Capacitors

Reactive power compensation for fixed load in medium voltage system.

The ReactiVar® MVC fixed capacitors are ideally suited for power factor correction in applications where the load requires fixed amount of reactive compensation. They are best suited for power factor correction of FVNR induction motors.

Standard features
  • 14-gauge formed steel floor mounted capacitor rack with terminal chamber
  • Available for indoor (Type 1/12) and outdoor (Type 3R) installations
  • All 3 phases fused with 40 kA IC fuses
  • Standard voltage ratings of 2.4, 4.16, 4.8 kV
  • Standard ratings to 600 kVAR @2.4 kV, 900 kVAR @4.8 kV
  • Low loss dielectric
  • Operating temperature of -40°C (-40°F) to +40°C (+104°F)
  • Built to applicable NEMA, IEEE, IEC, and CSA standards
  • Custom ratings and options available
