An introduction to SEPAM MV protective relays with emphasis on installation, operator interface, use of SFT2841 commissioning software, communications, basic protection, start-up, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Course content:

• Defining protective relaying and its uses
• Introduction and features of the SEPAM hardware with emphasis on understanding the application choices, relay selection and ANSI protective functions
• SFT2841 commissioning software including programming relays off-line, on-line and across a network. Use of relay configuration files.
• Presenting and analyzing values, alarms events and waveform captures
• Basic description of optional pre-configured control schemes e.g. bus transfer, ZSI, ATS, control matirx, logic equation editor, and logic interface
• Start-up, troubleshooting and maintenance
