A new feature on QO® and Homeline® load centers will now save labor and installation time for customers. When installing Square D load centers they will no longer have to loosen all the screws on the neutral bars as previous installations have required. QO and Homeline load center’s neutral bars will now provide backed-out neutral wire binding screws which meet all applicable UL and NEC requirements. This backed-out screw position is available now on the ground bar kits and will soon be available on the load centers and ground bars installed in the load centers.

Implementation Timeline

The load center neutrals and installed ground bars will come with backed-out neutral wire binding screws in stages in order to work through existing inventory. (PK Ground bar kits currently come with the wire binding screws backed-out.) There will be six stages of release for the load centers and factory installed ground bars.
